NLP practitioner in Bournemouth: one-to-one NLP sessions
Change the patterns of thought and feeling that hold you back, with an NLP Master Practitioner trained by the co-founders of NLP. One-to-one sessions with me, Tim Dunton, in Bournemouth or online.

What NLP gives you
Neuro-Linguistic Programming explores how you build your experience from the inside: the pictures you make, the voice in your head, the feelings that follow and the words you use about yourself. Change the structure and the experience changes with it. That is why NLP feels so practical. You leave a session with a different response to the presentation, the difficult conversation or the moment that used to throw you, and you know how you got there.
Trained by the co-founders
I hold Master Practitioner status in NLP, and I trained with Richard Bandler and John Grinder, the two men who created the field. I've trained since 2004, have over 20 years' experience and have helped hundreds of clients, including celebrities, film producers, sportspeople and business leaders, and I've worked with Samsung's cast. I'm also an Advanced and Ericksonian Hypnotherapist and a GHR member, so my sessions draw on both disciplines. Read more about Tim.
The techniques I use
- Outcome setting. You define exactly what you want, in sensory detail, so every session moves towards something clear and specific.
- Anchoring. I help you capture a resourceful state, such as calm, focus or confidence, and link it to a simple trigger you fire whenever you need it.
- Reframing. You see a situation from fresh angles, and the meaning that kept you stuck gives way to one that moves you forward.
- Submodalities. By changing the size, brightness, distance and sound of your inner images, you change how strongly they affect you.
- The swish pattern. A fast, repeatable method that redirects your mind from an old cue towards the person you want to be.
- Timeline work. You view your past and future along a line, release what no longer serves you and place new goals where your mind can reach them.
- Modelling. I help you capture how you think and act on your best days, so you repeat that pattern by choice.
What a session looks like
In your first session you'll talk through what you want to change and how you'll know it has changed. I then guide you through the techniques that fit, explaining as I go, and blends in hypnosis where it deepens the work. Clients from Bournemouth, Poole and across Dorset bring confidence, public speaking, performance at work, unhelpful habits and fears, and many pair NLP with phobia hypnotherapy or regression therapy. Sessions are in person in Bournemouth (BH8) or online by video, and every one is with me personally. Fees: £195 an hour in person, £150 online, or the 7-hour course at £975 in person and £750 online. Full details on the fees page, and more on how it works.
Questions
What is the difference between NLP and hypnotherapy?
NLP works with the structure of your thinking while you are fully alert and engaged. Hypnotherapy uses a deeply relaxed, focused state. I'm trained in both and combine them to suit you.
Do I need to know anything about NLP first?
Not at all. I explain each technique in plain English as you go, and you learn tools to keep using afterwards.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on what you bring. Many clients choose the 7-hour course, usually five sessions, and I recommend a plan at your free consultation.
Do NLP sessions work online?
Yes. NLP is conversational and visual, and it translates naturally to video. You work from a quiet room with me guiding every step.
Is this NLP training or NLP for me?
These are one-to-one NLP sessions for you as a client, focused on the changes you want to make in your own life and work.
