Hypnotherapy Q&As

Does hypnotherapy really work?

Yes. In over 20 years of practice I've seen hundreds of clients change the habits, fears and feelings that once ran their days.

Why it works

Most of what holds people back runs on autopilot. The reach for a cigarette, the racing heart at the airport, the evening raid on the biscuit tin: each is a learned response, and willpower alone struggles against something that fires before you've decided anything.

Hypnosis is a deeply relaxed, focused state in which your mind is wonderfully open to fresh associations. In that state we work directly on the thoughts, feelings and habits behind the problem, so the new response becomes the automatic one.

What makes it work for you

Every session is built around you. I combine Ericksonian hypnotherapy, which speaks to you in your own language and imagery, with NLP techniques that change how your mind stores and replays an experience, and coaching that keeps everything practical.

Between sessions you practise self-hypnosis and simple calming techniques, so the change carries on into everyday life.
